Unofficial report of city council meeting

 

Called to order: 6:30pm

Present: Mayor Edward Reynolds; Councilmembers Roslyn Palmer,   Glennie Bench, Kregg Close, Derik McDowell, Phil Long and  Don Whaley

Absent: None

 

Business Items:

Approval of street closure request of Gordon Avenue on April 20.

Approval of the referendum to add Sunday alcohol sales to November ballot.

Approval of the renaming of Commodore Road to Taurus Way.

 

Special guests:

Tammy Galvis presented audit report.
Dake Williams addressed Council on code enforcement issues on Troupe Street.
Erica Austin addressed Council on her support of Sunday alcohol sales.
Wiley Griffin addressed Council to participate in dedication service for those killed in the line of duty on May 15.
June Faircloth received proclamation recognizing April at Donate Life month.


Meeting adjourned at 7:12pm.

 

The next regular City Council meeting will be held May 7 at 6:30pm.
