The City of Bainbridge is working diligently, with many ongoing changes, in an effort to prevent the potential spread of the novel strain of Coronavirus known as COVID-19. Bainbridge City officials have been working with public health and emergency services partners around the region to assess and respond to COVID-19.

 

All City of Bainbridge offices will be closed to the public and will reopen May 11. We ask that if you can handle any City-related issues online or over the phone, please do so. Online bill payment is available on our website www.bainbridgecity.com. You may also pay your utility bill at the drop boxes located on Clark Street and Broad Street as well as mail your payment to PO Box 158 Bainbridge, Ga 39818. We have suspended all utility turnoffs during this time.

Should you need a permit of any kind, you may do that online HERE.

Bainbridge Public Safety will also be closed to the public but will reopen May 11 as well. Should you have a non emergency, please call (229) 248-2038.

Closures/Cancellations:

Decatur County Schools: Closed through the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic school year. 

Spring Creek Charter Academy: Closed through the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic school year.

Grace Christian Academy: Closed to face to face instruction through the remainder of  2019-2020 school year.

Municipal Court: City of Bainbridge Municipal Court scheduled for March 31st have been rescheduled. If you last name begins with A-L, it will be held on April 28, 2020. If you last name begins with M-Z, it be held on May 12, 2020. Trials set for March court have been rescheduled for April 28, 2020.

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College: Suspended face to face instruction until further notice.

Southern Regional Technical College: All events have been postponed.

Bainbridge- Decatur County Recreation Authority: Fields and facilities are closed until further notice.

Memorial Hospital and Manor: Instituted a NO VISITOR policy  for Memorial Hospital and Manor.

Decatur County Clerk's Office: Courts will only open for essential functions until further notice. Contact your attorney with questions.

Bainbridge- Decatur County Chamber of Commerce: Closed to the public but available by appointment beginning May 4.

Southwest Georgia Regional Library System: Closed through May 13th.

Georgia Department of Labor: Closed to public. Phone and internet accessible.

Decatur County Prison: Closed to visitors.

 

Feeding Program:

Decatur County Schools will begin feeding program Monday March 23. Locations are:

Jones Wheat Elementary

USW Local 170 Union Hall (Attapulgus)
