RE: City Announces Leadership Transition in City Management

City of Bainbridge,

May 3, 2024

I would like to inform the residents of Bainbridge of a significant leadership transition within the City's management. Chris Hobby, who has served diligently as the City Manager, has decided to resign from his position. The City respects his decision and expresses deep gratitude for his unwavering dedication and the considerable contributions he has made throughout his tenure.

During this interim period, Roy Oliver will assume the role of Acting City Manager. Roy has been a pivotal member of our team and will now oversee City operations until a permanent City Manager is appointed. His proven leadership and familiarity with the City’s strategic goals assure us that he is well-prepared to lead during this transition.

We request the community's full support and cooperation for Roy as he steps into this role and continue to show the dedication and professionalism that define our city.

The City extends its heartfelt thanks to Chris Hobby for his service and dedication. We sincerely wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Please join me in supporting Roy Oliver in his new role and appreciating Chris for his years of service to our community.

Best regards,

Mayor Edward Reynolds
