Public Safety Officers are cross-trained as firefighters, and "turn-out" gear is kept in patrol cars for quicker response time to fires.

The Patrol Division officers are the first responders dispatched to police or fire calls. Officers handle misdemeanors, traffic calls and rescues, as well as other types of incidents and services.
