Today, City Hall employees wore red to show our support for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and to help shine a light on the important work they do. CASA advocates give a voice to children navigating the foster care system, ensuring their needs are seen, heard, and prioritized.
We’re proud to stand with CASA and help raise awareness for the children and families they serve.

📌 Yard Waste Pickup Reminder
The City will pick up small trees, branches, and yard waste as long as it comes from work done by the homeowner or resident—not a contractor.
✔️ What we’ll pick up:
Leaves, grass clippings, weeds, brush, pine straw, and small limbs
🚫 What we won’t pick up:
• Yard waste mixed with metal
• Debris from vacant lots
• Debris left by contractors
🪵 How to set it out:
• Place yard waste near the curb, not in the street or on sidewalks
• Limbs must be 4 feet or shorter
• Do not put yard waste in ditches, drains, alleys, or roadways
• Keep all metal items separate
Thanks for helping keep our city clean and safe!

School is Back Tomorrow!
Schools begin tomorrow, which means heavier traffic and more school buses on the road. Please slow down and stay alert.
🟡 Yellow flashing lights on a school bus mean it’s slowing down — and so should you.
🔴 Red flashing lights mean the bus has stopped — and you must stop too.
Do not resume driving until the red lights have stopped flashing and all children and pedestrians are safely out of the roadway.
Give yourself a few extra minutes this week for your morning and afternoon commute and help keep our students safe!
