Denorris is our Park Crew Leader overseeing crews in the downtown area, including Chason and Willis Parks. He is originally from Climax, Ga and a 2015 graduate of Bainbridge High School (Go Bearcats!).
Denorris has been with us since 2022 and says what he loves most about his job is being outdoors and making our parks places that our residents can enjoy with their friends and families.
When he is not working, Denorris can be found fishing.
Thank you Denorris for your commitment to our residents and service to your community!

We’re excited to announce the opening of Aldi and Ollie’s Bargain Outlet on Shotwell Street in mid-April!
These two new retail stores are bringing not only a fresh shopping experience to our community but also job opportunities and will brighten the entrance into town.
As highlighted in the first episode of our video series Bainbridge Unplugged, these new stores are taking over vacant buildings, contributing to the revitalization of the area and helping to continue the positive growth of the corridor.

Welcome Anglers!
This weekend, Visit Bainbridge plays host to Florida BASS Nation High School and Jr Anglers. Come down to the Earle May Boat Basin for the exciting weigh ins beginning at 3:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.

✨ Tell Me Something Good Friday! ✨
Business owners, ever feel at ease knowing your business is being watched over, even when you’re closed? That peace of mind is exactly what you get when you see one of our officers' check-in tickets on your front door. 🚓💼
It's our way of ensuring that while you're resting, your investment is being protected. Our officers are routinely checking on businesses to help keep your property safe and sound while you sleep. 🛡️💤
Thank you for trusting us to help keep our community secure.

Bainbridge Public Safety is proud to announce the launch of its new initiative, "Hydrant Heroes: Keeping Bainbridge Safe, One Flow at a Time," aimed at ensuring fire hydrants in the community are maintained to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards without exceeding budget constraints.
The initiative will be implemented in phases, with each phase prioritizing hydrants based on need and their condition. The main objectives of the program are to enhance public safety by maintaining hydrants that are fully operational, easily accessible, and properly identified in the event of an emergency.

City Councilman Kregg Close also serves as the Assistant Coach for the Bainbridge Decatur County Recreation Authority track and field program. 🏃♂️ He’s dedicating his time to help develop future athletes and mentor our youth.
Thank you, Councilman Close, for selflessly supporting the growth of our community’s future leaders!

🚧 Thank You TSPLOST! 🚧
Today, we’re paving Frontage Rd and tomorrow, we'll be back to resurface Caroline Street! This work is all possible because of the TSPLOST penny and its continued impact on improving our community.

What is TSPLOST?
A Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) is a 1% sales tax collected for a specific program of transportation projects. For a TSPLOST to be enacted, it must be approved by voters in a referendum.

April's Fire Safety Tip:
Install Smoke Alarms
*Smoke alarms can alert you to a fire in your home in time for you to escape, even if you are sleeping.
*Install alarms on every level of your home, outside each sleeping area and in each sleeping area.
*Bainbridge Public Safety also recommends sleeping with your door closed.
*Test each alarm every month, following the manufacturer’s directions, and replace batteries once a year, or whenever an alarm “chirps” to signal a low battery.
*Newer units with the 10-year long-life batteries, should also be tested monthly.
*Never “borrow” a smoke alarm battery for another use — a disabled alarm can’t save your life. Replace alarms that are more than ten years old.
